Exploring Numbers

Today we have been talking about square and triangular numbers using paper cups.

Here is a triangular number. It is the number 36.


I learned that some triangular numbers and square numbers are the same, for example 36 a triangular number and a square number - Tom.

I never that 36 was a square number and a triangular number - Iain.

We also talked about Pi. Pi is a number that is used to calculate the area and perimeter of circles - Jilun.

I learned that 100 isn't a triangular number but it is a square number - Ellen.

I learned that triangular numbers can keep going to infinity but not all numbers are triangular numbers. - Kyle

I learned that some square numbers are triangular numbers. - Zak

Snowboard Champion

One of the members of the Room 4 Learning Team, Zak, is a snowboarding champion. We are so proud of him!
