Exploring Numbers

Today we have been talking about square and triangular numbers using paper cups.

Here is a triangular number. It is the number 36.


I learned that some triangular numbers and square numbers are the same, for example 36 a triangular number and a square number - Tom.

I never that 36 was a square number and a triangular number - Iain.

We also talked about Pi. Pi is a number that is used to calculate the area and perimeter of circles - Jilun.

I learned that 100 isn't a triangular number but it is a square number - Ellen.

I learned that triangular numbers can keep going to infinity but not all numbers are triangular numbers. - Kyle

I learned that some square numbers are triangular numbers. - Zak

Our Class Drama

This term we have worked very hard on a class play about the history of the Olympic Games. We learned so much, and everyone did their very best. We presented our play as part of the Twizel Area School Junior Drama Festival, to an audience of about 300 people.
