We are a class of 26 Year 3 and 4 students at Twizel Area School. Twizel is a small town surrounded by tussocks and mountains. We are the closest town to Aoraki Mount Cook.
Today we watched the Transit of Venus with special glasses. Our science teacher Ms Arkless, who normally only teaches the seniors, told us all about it. What an amazing day - Science and Snow!
I liked watching the transit of Venus. The sun looked like a little orange ball. Venus looked like a tiny bouncy ball beside a normal sized ball. I couldn't see anything else. When I first looked at the sun I couldn't see Venus.
That was the first time i have seen the planet of Venus.
ReplyDeleteVenus is so match smaller then the sun.
